Shanti Kaimal, BDS, MS

Dr. Shanti Kaimal currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Graduate Program in Orofacial Pain at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She graduated with a Certificate and Master’s degree in TMD and Orofacial Pain from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain.

Dr. Kaimal maintains her membership in the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and the American Academy of Oral Medicine.

Dr. Kaimal has been in practice since 2012 within the School of Dentistry specializing her practice to orofacial pain, oral medicine and dental sleep medicine. She recently joined the Minnesota Head and Neck Pain Clinic group practice treating adults and children with TMJ complaints, orofacial pain, oral mucosal diseases as well as management of obstructive sleep apnea with mandibular advancement devices. Dr. Kaimal works with an interdisciplinary team of care providers including physical therapists, health psychologists, neurologists and other medical and dental specialists to manage chronic pain conditions affecting the jaw, face, oral mucosa and head.
