Emily Ness received a Master’s degree in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching from the University of Minnesota. In addition, she obtained her National Board Certification for Health and Wellness Coaching and received continued education in chronic pain prevention through the University of Minnesota. She has additional training and experience with motivational interviewing, behavior change, positive psychology to improve dysfunction, guided meditation, breathwork, transformational coaching, lifestyle medicine, Ayurveda, functional nutrition, and identity work.
Prior to coaching for Minnesota Head & Neck Pain Clinic, Emily coached for Twin Cities Pain Clinic. She has also led group coaching for Type II Diabetes in a hospital setting and 1:1 coaching for employee wellbeing. Other group coaching experience includes transformational coaching and habit development. Emily has additional coaching experience as an intern at the VA hospital, worked with patients at Catholic Charities, and other group health wellness coaching experiences to expand her skills assisting in integrated self-care training to prevent or reduce chronic pain and addiction issues. For the last two years, Emily has been working with the PACT program, coaching patients with chronic pain.
In her role as a contractor and consultant with the PACT program, she has assisted in the development of a training course for chronic pain coaches.
In addition to her training as a health coach, Emily is also a certified yoga instructor with advanced training in trauma-informed yoga and Reiki Energy Healing.
